Jon Parkin is the teams “big man” he can play either up front or at centre back and put in a great performance at either. If at the back he is too strong for most strikers and if played as forward scares defenders. He is a regular first team player and is dedicated to the club. In the 2002-2003 season he had the chance to move away from City but rejected despite his wages not being paid regularly at the Minstermen at that time.
