35-year old Davis started his long career in 1987 with Southampton before going on to have spells at Burnley, Notts County, Luton and Blackpool. The centre-back has played a total of 605 league games, scoring an impressive 76 goals.
After having his contract cancelled by Blackpool this summer, Brass moved in to sign his former Burnley team-mate on a two-year contract, which also includes some coaching responsibilities. It's not the first time York have tried to sign the player, as two offers were turned down last season.
