Chris signed for York this summer on a 1-year contract after an impressive trial spell at the club. Brass signed the player to partner Steve Davis at centre-back, and bring back the height and strength in the defence that was missing last season.
Leeds-born Clarke began his footballing career with Wolves back in 1998, before moving to Halifax a year later on a free. He played over 50 games for the Shaymen, and then made a £120k move to Blackpool in early 2002. After two years there he moved to Cambridge in a short but unsuccessful spell, before moving to City.
