Gary began his career in the league with Sheffield Utd in 1995, before then dropping down to non-league football. He played for Stalybridge Celtic and Durham City before moving back into the league with Darlington in 2001. He made nineteen appearances for them last season, including against York at Bootham Crescent, where he was sent off.
Pearson moved to City this summer on a free after his Darlington contract expired. The utility player, who can play in any outfield position, signed an initial twelve-month deal.
