Profile |
Lee Nogan began his long career with Oxford, where he signed professional in 1987. Then, after some short loan spells, he moved on to Watford in 1991, and then to Reading four years later. After a successful few years with The Royals, he was signed by Grimsby Town for £170k in 1997. Then after two years playing at Darlington and Luton, he joined City in February 2001 on a free transfer.
One of the veterans of lower league football, Nogan has made over 500 appearances, scoring over 100 goals, in a 17 year career that has included a total of 11 different clubs. Lee has also been capped twice by Wales.
Due to his vast amount of experience in the game, and popularity with both the fans and players at Bootham Crescent, he was appointed Chris Brass’ player/assistant coach last summer. 'Nogs' finished as York's top scorer last term, bagging 9 goals.
