Along with Lee Bullock, Fox is currently the longest serving player with the club. He turned professional with City in 1999 after a three-year apprenticeship and was virtually a regular in his first season. Fox represented England at various youth levels, and his impressive displays for York got several Premiership sides interested in the midfielder.
But, despite his great start to his career , the Aberdeen-born player then suffered a horrendous knee injury, which put him out for well over a year.
Due to his problems with injuries, Fox was last year loaned out to Irish side Larne in an attempt to get his career back on track. However, he has failed to rediscover his sparkling form and only occasionally have the City faithful seen glimpses of his previous best.
