Experienced left-back, Shaun Smith joined City in the summer of 2004 on a one year contract. The former Hull and Rochdale player spent most of his career with Crewe Alexandra, being a member of the team that lost to City in the Division Three play-off final. Captain of the Alex for much of his time there, Shaun should bring much-needed experience to the backline.
He is also a dead-ball expert, scoring over 50 career goals to date. Shaun’s signing is a positive move, signalling Brassy’s intent to play 442, a move welcomed by most City fans.
