The new Radiohead album.
Best since OK Computer imo. Yorke is a f***ing genius.

Its a very good album, but personally I'm a huge fan of Hail to the Thief, which has everything.

Strange mixture of folk and krautrock mixed with a bit of HiNRG. Noice.

Just got this little freebie, out in Jan.

It's very good and is going to make a decent-ish splash when it's finally released. The opening tracks reference Czech Nationalism, Canvey Island FC and the wide expanse of life in their lyrics.
There's several fans on this forum, not least Duckworth Lewis who I metby chance in the most remote pub in England. We were watching BSP play a set in a barn while animals wandered around the floor.
A cut above.

Sounds like a load of student name-dropping w*** from that description.
Do they drop in the names of a long-defunct children's TV series, that's another student trick to sound clever.

If 'The Siging Ringing Tree' is in the lyrics I'm buying it !!

Far from it. Whereas iLikeTrains, GoodBooks, etc make a point of name dropping historical events BSP simply use oblique references to these things. They're far from studious musos either, the frontmen being two mildly deranged and shy brothers from a village near Kendal. They're knowingly quirky but keep well away from 'irony'. If anything it's my student name-dropping description that's, as you put it, "w***".
As for dodgy lyrics - I believe you like New Order?

Not only the best band of the last generation - but also the added bonus of not having to buy the cd!

Got to disagree there sonner. Just finally got Ocean Colour Scene "On The Leyline", nice to see the lads back on form and returning to the sound you asscociate them with. The last album had a bit too much northern soul in it, if there is such a thing.
