My first football shirt was a green one with white sleeves. Bought from a jumble sale. So I've always looked for their results - no other reason.

I also have a soft spot for the 'Pars' as my brother lives there.

Jambos and Gers for me!

Apparently Hearts and Rangers are both protestant and Hibs and Celtic are both catholics as I was told if you went to a Hearts game in a Celtic top you would get shot as they despise each other.

Clayton scored again last night but Hibs lost 4-2 at home to Motherwell who now play Rangers at home in the next round of the cup.

Very Happy

He's even taken the time to do some extensive research.

One thing which I notice is that whenever Celtic play away from home in Europe there always seems to be a massive love in and everyone waxes lyrical about what great fans and how good natured they are yet when it's Rangers all you ever hear are reports of the obscene sectarian songs and chants they were singing and calls for them therefore to be thrown out for being a disgrace to football.

Couldn't honestly give a knat's chuff. I kept an eye out for Aidrie's scores for a bit when Steve Cooper went to play for them, but when they sold us Gordon Connelly I stopped caring.

Rangers, all day every day.

My Uncle is a lot more into this Rangers vs Celtic thing than I am, and, growing up with my mum always followed Rangers. To the point where neither of em would eat a green penguin! Laughing

I got brought up on that. Though things are a little more complicated now, since my mum has re-married and my step fathers family are all Scottish, because they're half Rangers and half Celtic!

Makes viewing the old firm rather interesting.

I'm not a Rangers fan by any stretch of the imagination, but, to answer your question initially, Rangers.

Oh yeah ... the self proclaimed "Greatest Fans In The World" with their "Speshul Relashunships" with practically every club in Europe ! Rolling Eyes

Someone in the pub angrily asked me during the UEFA Cup Final in Seville why I was cheering for Porto since Celtic were a Scottish Team ? I told him that I'd support Celtic if he could point out just one Scottish Saltire in the crowd and as the camera panned around the great unwashed revealing a sea of Irish Tricolors, Starry Ploughs and even Palestinian and Basque flags (they have an affinity with other terrorist organisations as well as the obvious one Rolling Eyes ) he decided not to labour the point ...

A Club whose fans who see themselves as Irish (encouraged by Celtic FC itself) and glorify The IRA ? A Club who covered up a paedophile scandal at their Boys Club, with the compliance of manager at the time Jock Stein, because it would reflect badly on Celtic FC and tried to buy off the parents of the boys concerned (ask Alan Brazil - he was one of the abused kids) ? A Club who invited Irish Republican Band The Wolfetones (speciality Irish Rebel Songs) film an official video at Parkhead a few years back ? I could go on but you get the idea ...

It's just a normal hetrosexual relationship between a sad 42 year old man and the Captain of his local Team.

They would have beaten them in the league yesterday if it was not for Rangers getting a soft penalty.

Is this the same uncle who was best man at a wedding in a catholic church including the full one hour mass.
And he wouldn't eat a green penguin.
Erm interesting.

Only one team worth bothering about in Glasgow and that is Queens Park(The Spiders). A true community club that has remained loyal to its Amateur traditions as well.

Last time I was in Glasgow I made the trip to Hampden which I didn't realise they own the land and to the Scottish Football Musuem which is well worth a visit. The staff and officials were great and we could have stayed all day there.

Apparently Third Lanark have actually reformed as an Amateur team and play nearby Hampden Park.

Other than that I look out for Elgin Citys results because I have family round there.
