 |
|
FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round
1) When's the third round? I assume the draw will take place the Monday following that weekends ties.
2) Is it regionalised? No-one seems to actually know.....
FA Trophy
1) Is it the 3rd round where we come in?
2) Again, is it regionalised?
Setanta Cup
1) Regionalised? |

I'm 95% certain that the stage at which we enter the Setanta Cup isn't regionalised.

All are regionalised, I believe.
FA Cup: 3QR on 13th October, draw on 14th, we play on 27th.
Trophy: 15th December.
Shield: Do we have to? |

We play on the 22nd December.
It's odd that the competition is being approached with such apathy - first round for Conf North is on 1st October so we'll be able to see attendances/to what extent it's a first team. |

Hopefully Billy will 'do an Allardyce' and send the reserves to the trophy and the shield games. |

Could do for the trophy but not the satanta shield.
You must have 10 players (i think) from your weekend squad in your squad for the shield game.

Apparently, they can. Which is pathetic. I think Setanta are very very selfish for even THINKING of bringing in this Setanta shield crap. Clubs like us just cannot afford to do it. Not with the rules they are applying to it. Mentalism at its best.

TBH we can afford it more than others, though still ridiculous. Imagine the costs to a club such as Farsley going to Torquay away. I would think that would have an even greater impact on them, and just shows how unworkable yet another competition is. Perhaps if Setanta want this competition to be embraced they should offer travel costs to the away teams. Or better still start paying clubs a sensible amount for the massive disruption they are causing to an already disorganised league.

I *think* the shield is more down to the Conference than Setanta. They've tried to revive it more than once, Setanta are just willing to back it.
