Hello again Yorkies.

This is a copy of a post off the Surfing Seadog forum.

I realise either Scarborough OR Bridlington are both a hell of a long way to go to play some footy, but just in case you're bored or can't be bothered with City.

It's worth asking, worst you can do is completely ignore it Wink

"Hi guys,

As part of the fundraising for the new Trust owned club, I have decided to look into organising a five-a-side footy tournament with all proceeds going to the Trust.

Now obviously I need to arrange a venue. The ones I have requested information/prices from so far are:

Scarborough Sports and Tennis Centre (Scarborough)
Hinderwell School (Scarborough)
Headlands School (Bridlington)
Bridlington School (Bridlington)
Bridlington Sports Centre (Bridlington)

I have proposed a choice of two possible dates:

A) 25th July (Wednesday). Before our big opening preseason fixture with Bridlington Town at Queensgate, we could hold on the tournament in either Scarborough or Bridlington.
Times would be approx:
Scarborough: 11am - 4pm.
Bridlington: 2pm - 6pm.

or

B) Hold it before our first home fixture of the NCEL season, so it’ll either be 11th August or 19th August.
The times, in Bridlington in this case, would be as early as 9:30am until 1:30pm.

Let me know if you’d be interested in entering a team.

The provisional cost is £5.00 per person. Sqauds of five are acceptable, although six would be preferred.

This means £25 or £30 per team, of which some would go to the venue, and the (hopefully) majority would go to the Trust.

Please support this fundraising venture in any way you can, and get those trainers laced up for some footy fun!

A small prize will be arranged for the winners of the tournament.

The structure and fixtures will be released once I know how many people are interested.

Can all interested parties please EMAIL ME at:

OR:

Cheers! "
