Only just seen this thread or would have posted sooner.

Big thanks to all YMM committee members - I always have a laugh on YMM coaches, but we always seem to lose. Confused

But, can someone shed some light on what way Frank was not shown the proper respect?

I wouldn't know cause I scooted straight from Morecambe back into Bolton via the train, so wasn't on the return trip

Some rapscallions were threatening to slap one another and using naughty words. And then the back row bad boys charged to the front when the coach got hit with the stone to go and put the Morecambe scamps in their place! Except they couldn't get out of the door.

I ruined the day of one of them when I told him that "Drinking in LA" was LA as in Los Angeles and not "a lake". I could still hear him muttering ten minutes later about how he could call it "a lake" if he wanted and how that sounded better. Sorry.

I didn't see this thread until just now, so I'm a bit tardy in acknowledging everyone's kind comments.

In turn I'd like to thank everyone who travelled, and especially those who helped with the stewarding.

Lancashire Police certainly didn't make things any easier, but (some of) the pub managers in Longridge were very helpful and made us welcome.

As ever, K&J office staff and drivers were very helpful.

Not sure what trips we'll be organising next season (Farsley if it's on Boxing Day?) but it will depend at least in part on more volunteers stepping forward to get involved in YMM activities - come along to the AGM on May 31st.
