I don't see the irony...
Now if my best friend was a 25 stone burger munching US male redneck who attended KKK meetings and supported GWB...that would be ironic.

If you'd seen me recently you'd know I'm the polar opposite of Alanis - she's skinny, miserable and female for a kick off ...
Oh and your pal would need to be pretty big to support The George Washington Bridge !  Mind you, if she was ever on an Eastern-European Olympic training programme ...
