When Phil texted me with this news I thought he was taking the p*ss and replied somewhat sarcastically Embarassed

I've got the bedside manner of Dr Shipman.

Er, get well soon Phil*

Was he hit by a car doing 70kmh or 70mph Question If it is the latter then he is a bloody miracle man if he has survived and is able to attend the game Sunday and he should be allowed back on to tell us all of his mysterious powers.

Get well soon, Phil.

(BTW in case anyone is wondering, yes Phil can read General Chat - anyone can without a login - that is if he can access a computer right now!)

The car comes off worse than Phil, but the Ukrainian police thank the driver for his efforts.

If there was a modicum of truth to this story, this would not be the case.

70mph or 70kmh = you're dead, or very seriously injured.

More likely he tripped on a kerb in Acomb, than hit by a car doing 70 in Kiev.

Unlikely for someone on holiday in Ukraine.

I have it on good authority that it was doing 68 kmh, the driver was a Mr. S. Wonder and the car was a reliant robin, which was written off following the collision, along with Mr. Wonder's sunshades.
