There is a ticket office next to the away end where you can while away many an hour chatting away to our friendly stewards, provided you don't block any gangways, stand up when you should be sitting down, gesticulate furiously in the direction of the ref or sing any songs about our ground only having three sides!

Ah, what an efficient system. Queue for a ticket at ticket office, proceed to turnstiles and queue there..... Will I get in quicker if I offer Levis or Coca-Cola?

The system is simply designed to give the stewards something to do. They like nothing better than telling you to stand in line twice! Offers may help, but having seen our turnstile operators and stewards, 'I don't fancy yours springs to mind'.

The good news is, once inside you will have to queue again for your pie and again for your programme.

By the way I'm very sorry but we don't sell gravey or warm beer that you can slice in half with a knife.

Pick yourselves up, I was only joking.

I have no idea, why don't you drop into Spar in Knarsborough on the way down and buy yourself a pack. That way you will avoid spending the next two days worrying about the price of your halftime drink.

Remember stewerds are to policemen what referees are to footballers i.e. most referees are failed footballers who enjoy using their rulebook to make their mark on the world! Stewards love to tell you to sit down just so they feel important even if it makes no difference to anyone. I don't know we try to help them by allowing them to wear silly orange and yellow jackets and they still have to spoil the fun!

Far be it for me to fall out with a fellow OUFC supporter but I am one of those stewards you are having a go at.

The silly yellow and orange coats are worn so that in the event of a problem you can find someone who may be able to resolve the problem or at least get the right person to resolve the problem.

I work in the oufc end of the north stand, we don't need to tell people to sit down as they do anyway. It is an all seater stadium - emphasis on seater.

The away fans generally stand up anyway and I haven't yet seen their stewards trying to make them sit down. You must be in the OxMail stand which is run by a little hitler (I have no time for him either) who is full of his own self importance.

There are ways of asking people to sit down unfortunately the OxMail stand supervisors/stewards have not learnt this as they are better than the rest of us.

How about that for slating my own collegues then??

Have a nice day now you all.......... Very Happy

Hmm - by implication this must mean I am probably a failed footballer. I have never played a competitive game of football in my life, indeed with 2 left feet would never be lucky to kick the ball at all.

I have, however, partaken of other sports, sailing, parachuting (was the team manager for the Royal Green Jackets later Light Division Parachute display team), gliding, rock climbing and abseiling (well if you go up you have to come down again) and shooting at Bisley. Sporty Spice me !!
