Stevenage, 15 August - provisional depending on level of interest

unfortunately the level of interest was low, so this trip is cancelled - sorry!

I knew it was a mistake to arrange to go camping near Wrexham / Chester during that week Sad

I'll just have to satisfy myself ( Shocked ) with a 30 mile trip to Northwich to see Morecambe play, unless you could set off really early and make a slight diversion over the M62 Wink .

Bookings are very slow for this trip so far, and we need another 20 people to make it viable.

Time's running short, as I'll need to know by Friday whether or not to confirm with the coach company.

The deadline for bookings is now Thursday, in order to allow those who have booked a bit more time to arrange alternatives if we have to cancel.

What you eat and drink in private is entirely your own business Wink

But yes, with only 8 bookings received so far, it doesn't look like we can run this trip.

We've called it off so early in order to give people a chance to make other arrangements - hopefully everyone that wants to, will be able to get on the Travel Club coach. I went on the TC last season, and it was a decent trip - got there in plenty of time for a drink or several at the pub up the road.

To the best of my knowledge yes, the Press have got it wrong again.

Pretty sure Frank contacted the few who had expressed an interest last week, in time for alternative arrangements to be made.

I guess the Press got the information fromthe programme - it wasn't on the flyer I gave Dave Flett on Saturday!

But our coach is NOT running, & I contacted individually the eight people who'd booked places to let them know, hopefully in time for them to make other arrangements. At that point there were enough spaces on the Travel Club coach if they wanted to go that way.
