Nothing wrong with a-ha,saw them in concert just before xmas at the MEN.
Analogue is actually a rather good album and it was good to see the title track do quite well in the singles chart.
Just bought the KT Tunstall album after watching a bio of her on one of the music channels the other day. |
You liked her so much you put her in your avatar? How sweet.

Speaking of local acts I bought EPs by Colour of Fire and Lynchpin today.
Only joking.
Purchased the marvellous Nine Black Alps new EP. Not the Manchester band the journalists would have you believe. (the singer is from York and has played Fibbers with various bands over 100 times)

Let's not pretend that this thread ever made any sense, the charts are full of people like Madonna, KT Tunstall, James Blunt, Kelly Clarkson and even Neil Diamond making the top ten and I don't see them mentioned very often on here, this is a big yourself up by naming an obscure artist thread. I started buying records in the 60's, I'm still buying them today, and from every genre. I have listened to the album and suggest that Jamie Foxx gets "mediocre" tattooed on his forehead, it'd be a better and more accurate gimmick than those of his ilk's fake drive-by shooting scar or sticking plaster, more importantly my assesment isn't based on what my peers will think of my opinion.
I might also add that any song featuring the words "feat." is not likely to be worth buying, just like the next ITV blockbuster "featuring" that skinny bird of some crap soap opera that left six months ago to make her fortune in Hollywood and came back pennyless, is never going to be worth watching, if they could do it well enough they'd be doing on their own, not trying to bask in the (questionable) reflected glory of somebody else. |
So this thread could be an expression of honesty. Lamest Cd bought or things that should never be said. You know the kind of thing: 'Cliff Richard as you've never heard him before'. 'Shirley Bassey, back by popular demand.' I wanted tickets for 'A night with Chris de Burgh but they were all sold out. Gutted.'
I'll kick off. I bought a Poison album as a youth just so I could have a 'P' in my collection. Terrible when you think of the many alternatives.
