Would you like to join the York City Forum Betting Syndicate?

The group have been placing bets in the hope of winning much-needed funds for YCFC since August 2004 and have been very successful, showing a slight profit from their wagers. We have been able to donate £500 to the ‘Save The Reserves’ fund in July 2005 and sponsor the away strip for Joe O’Neill this season. We hope to sponsor a City home match in the near future. There are currently 9 members of Red & Blue who are taking part, but ideally we’d like up to another 5 people to join us. Current members are:

1tom, Shaun, Appletree Red, Duckworth Lewis, Yorkie, Frank, Tim Wills, TooOldToPogo and myself!

You don’t have to be an expert in the field of betting but it would help! Members have bet on events such as Celebrity Strictly Come Dancing through to boxing, the greyhounds and cricket, though horse racing and football remain the most popular bets. The only criteria is that you are a respected member of Red and Blue and can afford to set aside £26 every three months. Members then take it in turns to wager £15 (the remainder is saved for either sponsorship of something City related or for a Syndicate booze-up, party, etc.).

Bets are tracked in the Syndicate Members very own bet forum on R&B which you will be able to view if and when you sign up.
