Should Sven get the sack after the performances against Denmark, Wales and Northern Ireland?
Personally I think he shouldn't, due to his great record in qualifying games.
What do you think. I would think that some people when losing to Northern Ireland with a team worth 100s of millions would be the final straw! |

Personally I would like us to do well, with Sven in charge, but after recent results perhaps a change is necessary.
Last night the match was a shambles, nothing was working and Sven did his usual performance of sitting on the bench letting McClaren do all the work. Like Ian Wright said after, "McClaren looked as if he was the manager". True.
Rooney again lost the plot and told both Becks and Rio to f*** off. However been stuck out on the left not getting anywhere wouldn't have helped matters much.
I thought Beckham had a good game, with some good crossfield passing to Wright Philips who was looking dangerous and was giving Capaldi a lot of problems. Maybe not as dangerous as against Wales, but no surprise to see Sven haul him off for Joe Cole, who to be fair did get stuck in a bit when he came on.
We didn't deserve to win at all, and a lot is needed to beat the Poles and Austria.

No, Denmark was a friendly, and he did the right thing afterwards by dropping calmity james, we were poor againsts wales but managed to get a win, and last night we were poor, but ireland defended well. |

Aye dropping James was probably a wise decision really, now we have Kirkland and Green as the other keepers. Keep an eye on Carson, who keeps goal for the Under 21's. He is good, just a shame Reina is ahead of him for Liverpool.
Again Sven brought on Hargreaves, which is always a sign that everything has failed. He made several mistakes last night after coming on and I don't think he adds much to the team, but of course Sven does.

From a neutral point of view England have several problems:
They don't have a holding midfield player like Makelele for France or Gattuso for Italy. It would also help if England had an aggressive player in the middle of the field. David Beckham I should note is not an example of this.
The system is all wrong that Sven is playing. No one can deny that Sven is a world class manager, but the 4-5-1 clearly doesn't work. Rooney should play upfront with Owen, but Lamaprd and Gerrard in midfield doesn't work, as they're both too attacking, and are obsessed with scoring.
England will not get anywhere at the World Cup, and will end up getting eliminated by someone like Mexico- as is the big headed nature of the England team-we can beat the Mexican's- then they realise that Jared Borgetti and Luis Perez are actually decent players. |

Borgetti, Bolton Wanderers player.
Sven should ditch all this 4 5 1 buisness and sort out a formation that all the players actually understand and know what their job is.
I don't think Sven should be sacked now, give him a chance and see what he does for the final 2 games. If he sorts England out, roll on the World Cup.

I agreed with most of it, it's just him refering to himself as neutral. |

Looked like you were saying that it wasn't really "quality".

Yeah sack the b*****d now, just before the 2 most important games of the past 2 years.
Don't be daft, you cant sack him now, only after the world cup - judge him on our performance on that.

Dont be too harsh on him and plus he is only investigating like the 3 subs he brought on at 1 tim. But one thing I have got against him is that he is doing it at the wrong time.
