York City Supporters' Trust writes…
The Supporters' Trust is appealing for City fans to renew their £10 annual membership for 2004/05. Many people had joined the Trust in 2003 around the time we were battling to save York City from extinction. Although there is no longer the same crisis for survival, it remains important for the Trust to be as well supported as possible from the ranks of City's supporters.
This is the second season for York City under the control and ownership of the Trust. As most people appreciate, for the long term future of Your Club, the most important issues to be sorted over the past 18 months have been financial survival and a ground solution - and a huge amount of time has been invested in those areas. Going forward, particularly with the involvement and support of volunteers, the Club will be developing further in other areas to further build trust between Community and Club.
As well as contributing towards the continuing efforts of the Trust - the body that owns the Football Club - membership benefits include an ownership stake, the ability to stand for and vote in the upcoming Trust Board elections and entrance into the fortnightly draw for an invitation to the York City Boardroom. Whilst still remaining one of the best supported Trusts in the country, it is hoped that many of the people who have yet to renew their membership for 2004/05 will do so within the next few weeks. Only those people who are current members at 30th September will be able to stand for election to the Trust Board and vote in the election.
Membership forms are available via the Trust's website www.ycst.org.uk and from Bootham Crescent.
If you have yet to renew your membership - or yet to join the Trust - please do so today. If you know someone who might be interested in supporting York City, please forward this message to them. |
