York City midfielder Lee Bullock admits he is desperate to stay at Cardiff when his loan deal with the Bluebirds ends.
The 22-year-old has impressed during his stay at Ninian Park and was on target with a goal in the final-day 1-1 draw with Ipswich on Sunday.
A potential £75,000 transfer fee has already been agreed should the Bluebirds opt to make the switch permanent - but with boss Lennie Lawrence yet to indicate whether he will be pressing ahead with the deal, Bullock is taking nothing for granted.
"I don't want to say I have done enough to earn a contract because this is a big club and they want the best players so anything could happen," Bullock told the Wales on Sunday. "I pray and I hope that I can be a part of things here but all I can really do is wait and see. I want to be part of taking Cardiff into the Premiership."
Bullock admits it was a big decision for the Minstermen to release him to the First Division outfit given the fact they were struggling for their Football League lives.
And the Stockton-born midfielder added: "Chris Brass was brilliant to let me come here in the situation the club were in at the time.
"It would be nice if the money from selling me could help them build a squad for next season."
