City manager Chris Brass admitted that it had been an emotional weekend for everyone involved with the club as the Minstermen were relegated to the Conference.
The 2-1 home defeat by Leyton Orient brought an end to the clubs 75 year stay in the Football League, although Brass believes the fans in particular have quickly accepted events.
"There's a lot of emotion and I'm disappointed," he said.
"You feel like you've let people down but the fans aren't stupid, they know where the problems lie."
