York City manager Chris Brass refused to blame referee Graham Laws for the equaliser scored by Yeovil Town during Tuesday evenings match which the Minstermen lost 2-1.
City midfielder Richard Cooper lay injured on the ground while the visitors made the score 1-1, but Brass didn't use that as an excuse for his sides latest loss.
He said: "He'd been down for two minutes and he still hadn't got the decision so he isn't going to get it. I suppose we've got to keep alive and switched on so we can't look for excuses.
"It was disappointing. Richard is an honest lad and he's not someone who's going to lie down unless he's hurt.
"Unfortunately the referee thought there was a bit of kidology going on. The lad was hurt. It was the wrong decision, but it happens."
