York City player manager Chris Brass accused some of his players of "hiding" during Saturdays disappointing defeat against Cheltenham Town.
City produced a spirited display in Tuesday 1-1 draw with Bury, which threw them a relegation lifeline.
But after yesterdays defeat the Minstermen look dead and buried after they extended their winless run to 16 games with a couple of defensive howlers.
Brass, who limped off injured five minutes into the second half, said: "I am frustrated. Their goal has gone in and one or two have gone hiding again - I cannot accept that.
"What does it take? Do you have to shake them to show them what it actually means in order to get something out of the game?"
