York City boss Chris Brass is refusing to panic after Rochdales 1-1 draw with rivals Doncaster Rovers pushed the Minstermen down into 22nd place in the table, one above the relegation zone.

York currently have an advantage over Carlisle United and Macclesfield Town as they have a game in hand. This could prove to be useful in the relagation run-in.

Brass said: "The results of late have left us in a precarious position and the problem has been a lack of goals plus injuries to some of our more experienced players.

"As a manager you have to have faith in the ability of your own players and we've brought in Richard Offiong and Jon Newby to help up front.

"There are a number of teams who are still thinking relegation is a possibility and we have five of our last eight games at home so we need to use them to our advantage."
