Football Club Festival Day Raises over £5,000
City Finance Director Terry Doyle today publicly thanked all York City fans for the financial success of Sunday’s Festival game. Donations from fans attending the game totalled £4,831. In addition the raffle also raised a further £541, meaning the day was successful in assisting towards City’s target of raising £60,000 for the cost of Huntington Stadium. As well as direct donations the shop had an excellent day with fans taking advantage of the 25% discount on all items.
Doyle commented “I would simply like to thank everybody who attended and made the day such a great success. For all those fans who attended, it brought back great memories of two very successful sides. I myself did not miss a game, home or away in both the championship year and the Wembley year and like all the fans who attended, it brought back many memories”.
Doyle further commented “I would also like to thank Graham Bradbury once again on behalf of everybody who had such an enjoyable afternoon. Graham did a wonderful job in arranging the game within a very short time span”. |
