Objection to the planning application
Planning officers received around 1,600 written objections and comments regarding Persimmon's plans to turn the home of York City into 93 flats and houses - a record-breaking response.
FoBC's letter of objection was submitted in October 2002.
93 black balloons
The Friends of Bootham Crescent staged a half-time protest on 26 November 2002, during the FA Cup first round tie at home to Swansea City. Our statement was read by spokesperson David Allison and accompanied by the release of 93 black balloons.
