Is this true? Where did you here it?

Anyway, for the record we are plain old Barrow AFC, no Town/United/Academicals etc (not that you care either way).

At the end of the season just gone we played dirty Leeds in our Centenary game (we tried to get fellow centenarians Real Madrid but they has some midweek game in Glasgow to play...) and starring in our defence was a certain John Fielding who played very well. Ex-York striker Nick Peverell told a mate of mine that we had signed Pepper but we've heard nowt since apart from Harrogate maybe being interested in him.

Don't mention dirty Le*ds (scum!!!)

I remember Nick Peverell being man of the match for the Man Utd game at Bootham Crescent. If only he had continued that form!

I hated Peverell, as he kept Baker out of the side, who I really rated and thought should play alongside Barnes. I also thought Pev looked lightweight and frankly crap, although he did play well against Man Ure at home.

Did he ever play professionally again after he left us?
