I hear a rumour that Birmingham are trying to buy Williams, rated at £1.5million, from Sunderland.
Does anybody know whether or not we have a sell on clause???
If say its 10%, that is likely to provide us with £150k. If this happens, investment in a certain Mr M. Proctor would be highly reccommended!!!

No, we don't. We sold him for 50k rising to 150k on appearances but no sell-on.

Whoops.....

This was a particularly inept deal - even if the club wanted to let Williams go (for not being good enough), the fact that Sunderland soon came knocking must have alerted them to the fact that it might be worth hitching the price up a bit higher than £50,000.

I remember being mortified when Dazza went for that pitiful amount.

On the other hand, I was rolling around in glee when we got 750k for Murty. Granted, he was Reading's club-man of the year. But I still thought he was a bit of a headless chicken.

Best one I can remember is us getting our money back on Rob Matthews, who looked like a cert 'free to Scarborough' for us for 6 months.
