great win by city,at last a good result v top team,just a word about the mtfc fans after the game........to the driver of the red minibus, who got out of the bus and tried to start fights, and the lanky ,bespectacled half wit,who was goading city fans to have a go, ,just p*** off back under your stone, or go back to supporting derby ,forest etc. cos you were not here or at your place last season. to the many decent mtfc fans trying to defuse the situation,good on yer,hope you have a good result this season,& we'll see you in 2yrs time in d2 .......the 2 sad losers mentioned earlier,you are sad, sad losers(what was the score? 3-1 losers)rant over,sorry to go on ,but the behavior was so bad,it needed saying...............up the city....rrrrrrrrred army............crow

Walked down Bootham before the match - 3 drunken yobbos shouting abuse at everyone from the other side of the road all the way down - made it even better when we stuffed them !
Didn't reckon much to their effort to lift their team once we'd got back in it.
Who are ya !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep.
They just went silent for the rest of the match after we equalised. Quite odd, really. You'd have thought that they would have wanted to encourage their team to win. But then, as crow said the majority of them probably didn't even support Mansfield last year, or won't next year if they don't go up.

Just have to reply to this one.
First, the game. Well I had the pleasure of getting Mansfield FM over here - I had work on so I couldn't go. The commentators, even thought they were biased to Mansfield - gave York quite a good write up. They thought Fettis was amazing and that we were at the wrong half of the table.
As far the Fans, my Girlfriend lives near Mansfield - she fortunately doesn't come from there! All I can say, from experience, is that most locals there are the most annoying, in-bred, wind up townies I have ever met. If they want a fight, they'll have one. Bunch of tossers they are (well about 90% of them - there are nice people).
As for the support, you are right - most of them didn't support them at the start of the season. They had similar attendances to us and now they get 5000 per game.
I wouldn't let them get to you - just laugh at them - it would confuse them silly!
