City midfielder Lee Bullock has revealed he is willing to sign for Cardiff City, should the First Division club submit an official bid.
Cardiff manager Lenny Lawrence has been watching Bullock, 22, over recent weeks and is reported to be poised to make a bid of around £150, 000 in instalments.
Such a bid would probably be to good to turn down for York, given that Bullock is a free agent in the summer - although City would still receive a tribune-decided fee as Bullock is under 24 years old should he not agree new terms.
Bullock said: "If the money helps the club that's fair enough. If I have to move on and the money could be used to help the club relocate then it's one of those things."
Asked whether he was more likely to wait until the summer to make a move, Bullock noted: "I could wait until the end of the season but, if its right for everyone, why not do it now?
"I've never been in this situation before and it's difficult for me but it's a nice position to be in.
"First, though, I have got to put a performance in next week"
Cardiff are reported to have tabled a bid of £75,000 up front, with another £75,000 depending on appearances and future international call-ups.
But Minstermen player/manager Chris Brass denied the club were in a “must sell” position, adding that "The time might be coming where we have to sit down and take it that next stage but, at this moment, Lee's playing for York and will carry on doing well for the club until anything happens, if it does." |
