A pointless thread I'm afraid but after Christmas shopping in town today I am fed up of Christmas "music".

What are people's favourite / least favourite Christmas songs?

After shopping in town today I can't think of a favourite but my vote for worst has to be the awful "I wish it could be Christmas every day".

Mad Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

My favourites are:

'Space Christmas' - Shonan Knife
'I Was Born on Christmas Day' - Saint Etienne & Tim Burgess
'Jesus Christ' - The Family Cat

And I really hate:

Cliff Richard,
Slade,
in fact anything the BBC shows.

My favourite is that effort by Mariah Carey's Embarassed , the title of which eludes me!

Christmas music really annoys me. When working the night shift, it is all I have been hearing and I am starting to get to know all the words and even what song is coming on next. The sooner the music goes the better.

If there is any justice in the world, Gary Jules will be this year's Christmas number 1 (even if it has been played to death). But there isn't.

As for decent Christmas songs, "Donna and Blitzen" by Badly Drawn Boy is good.

The best never get to number one anyway, Bob The Builder had it the other year so it's more of a punishment if you ask me.

It's more or less all crap, and the same ones are constantly repeated.

If you remember, Bob The Builder beat Westlife, so we were spared that at least - nothing wrong old Bob anyway even if he's not a patch on The Shoe People.
