CITY’S CENTRE SPOT
York City Football Club and the Supporters Trust have made great strides forward in their management of fan data.
This week the Club completed the development of a new system called “Centre Spot.”
This is a computerised tool for managing the Club’s database of 3700 season ticket holders, Vice-presidents and Trust members.
The new system means data can now be managed from a central point at the Club and City can further develop this valuable asset.
In order to keep records accurate and up to date, from 1st November, the Club and the Trust urge supporters to contact the Ticket Office and inform our staff of any changes of address or circumstance.
The development of the computerised database will allow City to work with selected third parties to generate extra income for the Club. One of the companies City has created links with is the York office of mortgage providers Choice Mortgages. The Club were approached by Chris Swanton of Choice Mortgages who is a York City season ticket holder and have agreed to issue promotional material to supporters on Choice Mortgages’ behalf. This will be done in strict compliance with the Data Protection Act.
Commercial director, Jason McGill said, “We will be working with selected businesses, like Choice Mortgages, who we feel can bring benefits to fans and help to generate extra income for the Club. The ideal situation is that our supporters save money and at the same time the Club receives cash commission.”
Choice Mortgages are due to launch their offer to fans at Saturday’s home game against Boston United.
Should supporters not wish to receive any of the Club’s forthcoming promotions please write to Centre Spot at Bootham Crescent and your request will be acknowledged on the new database |
