I cannot believe that I am really looking forward to the match on Saturday.
Usually I am a RL fan but I am really impressed by the never give up attitude of England in this competition - who would have thought it.
I have tipped them to lose the last 2 games so I suppose that I should tip us to lose this one too.
That said though It could be a good double week end for England if Hamilton also wins the world championship |

It might be worth lumping on a few quid for both to fall at the final hurdle. How about a South Africa and Raikkonnen win double just to soften the blow of disappointment?

If Lewis Hamilton does fail, I'm sure the playboy lifestyle, millions of pounds and plethora of gorgeous women will soften the blow.

It's all very well for you AMC, but what about poor Lewis?

£500,000 a year while Alonso's on £20mill? Come on Lewis.
I presume you'll be supporting England tomorrow, AMC? Don't forget £500,000 is five weeks 'hard graft' for Rio Ferdinand.

As much as I'd like Kimi to win if Hamilton fails, I reckon that maungy Spanish c**t will do it. So much for not being given a championship winning car.

Why do you assume that I was having a go at him? Good luck to the lad. I get all this, 'ooh AMC, you know, you're a brilliant racing driver, you're stuck here, while it's Lewis that's off making all the money, and they're rubbish compared to you.' and I go, 'Don't slag him off.'
We're both good in our own fields. I'm sure Hamilton couldn't run and manage a successful Finance team. I couldn't do what-, well, I could do what he does, and I think Ron Dennis knew that, even back then. Probably what spurred them on.....

I'm out with the old man and his mates who play in a band and do the working mens club circuit aroun these parts on Saturday night, a last Saturday send of if you will.
I feel things could get messy if the result goes the right way as the gig is at the Castle Club in 'lovely' Consiborough
Then BC Sunday night to see us slap my soon to be near neighbours three nowt

Anyone else struggling like f**k to get excited about tonights final?
It goes without saying that being English i'd like us to win, but if we don't then I wouldn't be all that bothered. I feel obliged to care but no matter how hard I try, I really, really don't.

I felt more involved when we did well in the olympics hockey a few years ago, and that's a lasses game
I suppose I'll have a look in the papers tomorrow morning to see how we did.

Same as! I'll be watching it as my housemates are but I don't really care what happens and I probably also won't understand what's going on.

Excited?
The only good thing about the game will be the end, which will finally mark the end of the longest, dullest tournament on record.
If England win they will all be given more medals and then people like Wilkinson will pretend to be injured for another 4 years while the broadsheets and their southern idiot readers bore football fans about "how to be successful" and "how to play with dignity" even though it's not even a proper World Cup and even though all those lecturing "Joe Public" would be mortified if the working man ever actually took an interest in their socially exclusive joke of a sport.

I really hope our rugby lads do us proud tonight. I'm rather fed up with our persistantly underachieving and over-paid football side.

There's no "us" in Rugby Union Robert, that's the whole point.
The don't want scum like "us" watching their sport and, while that's the case, I will be rooting for the other side.

How do you know this for sure? C'mon Jards, even if you perceive (sp?) rugby to STILL be an elitist and Southern sport, (which I'm sure it was yonks ago), it's also STILL England, and as an Englishman, I want us to win. Besides, Jason Robinson, Matthew Tait and Brian Ashton (to name 3) are Northerners.
