Just wondered if any of us City fans look out for either of the Old Firm?

My Mum is Scottish and we have family in Glasgow. I look out for the Mighty Gers as my second team. Does anybody else have a preference?

Good on you. So is it The Jambos or the Hibees?

I also have a soft spot for Caley Thistle as my Granny and Uncle live in Inverness. I was torn on the first game of this season as I had a ticket for Caley v Rangers - in the Caley end!! Its Rangers all the way though.

I understand they are the Irish equivalent in Edinburgh. How is Clayton getting on? I saw he scored and got sent off two weeks ago.

He is doing quite well i am led to believe.
He scored a penalty and got Sent Off for two bookable offences last week against Falkirk and it ended 1-1.
I live in York do not get to see Hibs much anymore just go to all Scottish home internationals cannot remember last home one i missed and go to most York games as well.

I've never been to any international. I would only watch England to be honest. It was intersting watching Caley last month. I thought that they looked no better than City on a good day. The one player I was really impressed with was Ross Tokely. Hes a right back and been with Caley for 11 seasons. Looks like Dudge and plays like Dudge. a legend in Inverness. Watching him try to mark Demarcus Beasley was funny. It was like Vinnie Jones against Aaron Lennon!!! would love to see him in a City shirt!! Laughing

I change my avantar a lot. I've had Paul Heaton from The Beautiful South, BC, The Union flag to name a few. I'd like to try and combine the two badges some how for an avantar. Don't read too much into it. I'm City first, always have been and always will be. Very Happy

Did Jackson the striker that used to play for City a few seasons back not play for Inverness after he left City?

Just found out the answer to that is yes he did.

I will be making a trip up to Glasgow to watch a Champions League game at Celtic Park this season, it's a horrible area where the ground is.

I have always been more sympathetic to Rangers.

Confused

How do you be "sympathetic" towards a football team ?

Are they some sort of 'problem child' ?

Some of my work colleagues have to work next door to said horrible area of Parkhead, rumor has it , they had written warnings for "not serving anyone wearing green".
I don't know what shocks more, someone who says they aren't doing that because of a colour , or the company for having to issue such a warning. Shocked

Third Lanark was a side I saw in 1965 and had a soft spot for but unfotunatley they were the first Scottish football club to be declared bankrupt in 1967 and disovled. It is thought that boardroom corruption played a role in this. Shocked

Can't see why anyone without any 'Scotch' heritage would want to follow a Scottish team, however when we were kids we always looked out for Stenhousemuir, partly because that's where they made the excellent Highland Toffees and also because we pronounced it, in our ignorance, Stehousemanure. Sorry Stenhousemuir.

I've always like Arbroath.

I went to Arbroath v Motherwell a few years back (I was working in Dundee).

Don Goodman, who was playing for Motherwell, picked the ball up from just in front of where I was stood - this old Jock shouts at him 'Oi Goodman, Feck off back te Pakistan.'

The look on Goodman's face was priceless - I think the nearest he's been to Pakistan was a balti restaurant in Dudley.
