Given recent form we really must be considering the options and, more to the point, people available to guide this club back to its rightful position. Jim Harvey's name has been banded about but I'd like to think Alan Latchley was in the running:

if jards is right and the seasons over ,then why not just leave billy alone and see what happens , he's done us proud in my opinion for the last 2 seasons , if we hadn't made the playoffs then would our expectations have been so high ? i'm gutted with our bad start , driving home from morecambe last season the only optimistic thing i could think was its a 3 year plan Rolling Eyes ! as i supose did many ! and if the club is rumoured to be skint , thats maybe why players havn't queued up to sign ! thats not billys fault . ok so he's got a blind spot with brodie , and kelly hasn't impressed much yet but hey , aint that football ffs ?

He blind spot doesn't end with Brodie, he's too stubborn in many areas for his and the clubs own good.

Not that I'm saying we should get rid at all, it's a bad run of 10 games or so, does that deserve sacking?

Oh dear, no need to stop the thread this early, once it started I thought it might run and run. Peter would be proud.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Certainly the biggest 'whoosh' for a while. Do you think the character was loosely based on Lawrie McMenamy?

So its happened once what about the rest of the games? I dont want McEwan out but he is not a manager who can change a game through substitutions or a change in formation, like it or not. We either start well and win or start slowly and never get on top of the game.

"I was put in charge of a thriving club, and what did I do? Went home and read a book on how to manage" Laughing How many former players have been put in managers jobs and done that..... Laughing

Oh ferchristssake...

Er, moving on:

Shurley more of the man Clough in his background and willingness to speak? Although, having just read Dave Peace's brilliant "Damned Utd" (yes, a novel about football - no, it's not just cliches) I can only think of him with great conquering speeches and political manoeuvring rather than lowering himself to such hackneyed phrases.
