Will YMM (numbers permitting) run a coach to Burton? Otherwise an overnight stay will be neccessary to avoid TnB.

I think this would be a very good idea as a) It's a night game and b) Prices to Burton on the train are something silly like £35 return.

I would certainly want a few places for myself and friends if a coach were to run.

Thomas, darling, that's a wonderful idea!

Seriously, though, providing I can get the night off work, I'd be up for this.

It was particularly quick thinking as I am sure nobody else in the whole wide world had given it a moment's thought.

was that a cunningly disguised hint of sarcasm-no surely not.More the quizzical utterings of a former cyber hothead who has at last discovered Karma Laughing

I too have taken the pledge and look forward to contributing over the coming season with the experience of a wise owl and the humility of a disciple

Here is too a great season of camp fire songs roasting chestnuts in the embers and uniting in the friendly ambience of the red and blue brotherhood of kindred spirits

ah it seems so long sigh

Yes we will.

All details are provisional, but the cost should be £12 for members, £15 for non-members, and we'll aim to leave at 4.15, from the Memorial Gardens, Leeman Road.

We'll take bookings (and money, please) at our stall in the car park before the friendly matches v Leeds (13 July), Doncaster (21 July), Bradford (28 July), and Chesterfield (4 August).

If you're not able to get to the friendlies, pm me to book your seat.

Slowly.

If people want to go, they need to get booking.

Time's running short!

At present there are not enough bookings to make this trip viable.

We'll need to make a decision immediately after the Cambridge game, so let me know NOW if you want to travel on this coach.

It's still touch and go whether we can run this one - coming so close behind the first home game hasn't made it easy to get bookings in.

The coach company have been extremely helpful in extending their deadline, so I can now take bookings up to 6pm Sunday.

If insufficient bookings have come in by then, we'll have to cancel the trip.

Please make all further bookings by pm to me, email to or phoning 07956 237 270 (leave a message if no reply)

Anybody who's booked but can't go, please let me know ASAP.

Update 12:30 Sunday.

We're still around 10 people short of making this viable, so please get your bookings in ASAP and no later than 6pm today.

Cheers

Frank

Unfortunately, we've had to cancel the coach.

With fewer than 20 bookings, we'd have lost around £200, so it's just not feasible.
