I saw this new Scarborough Athletic play a friendly at Northallerton on Wednesday evening.
It was a 2-2 draw and not unentertaining.
In fact despite being 0-2 down at h/t the new Scarborough played well enough in the 2nd half to win it.
This new club does have some sort of support as about 150-odd turned up from Scarborough which is a fairly decent turn-out for a midweek PSF.
I think they should do well at NCEL level, I saw Taddy once or twice last season and it should be a good game - It will almost certainly be Tadcaster's biggest gate of the season (unless they play us in the FA Cup!!) |

NCEL football isn't a bad standard, I have watched quite a bit of it in recent years.
The thing with the new Scarborough club is whether or not these people will still be going if they don't win promotion fairly quickly. Trips to places like Rossington are not for the majority believe me!
