Just seen an interview on Sky, someone speaking to an FA Representative about possibly measures to prevent coin throwing.
The FA spokesman replies:
...'It'd be harsh on fans if they were to be searched before entering the stadium'.
What the hell do you search them for? 2p coins?
And people say that George bush is bad? No wonder football in this country is going nowhere.

One of my mates was at a Barca game at The Nou Camp earlier in the year and he was made to leave all his spare change outside with no prospect of getting it back.
Surprised with your incredible knowledge of European Football you didn't know this already goes on !

Mind you Tommi football in this country? You always have to have a dig - I suppose there is no coin throwing in your beloved Italy? O Yes I forgot there is - they throw it at the big clubs to throw games and then they throw away the bans!
Football in this country has problems however it is NOWHERE near as corrupt as that run by the Italian Authorities!

I never brought that up Dave, you want to talk about that, talk about it in another thread.
You want to talk about corruption, let's talk about this club.

There is no coin throwing in Italy, they just stick to throwing scooters and fireworks!

That kid at newport will get banned for ages for his shot, But to be honest if I was to get banned for chucking a coin Id want it to hit right on the bonnet, Cant fault him for accuracy

I`d draft him into the England squad for the Ashes, always said we needed a specialist fielder, imagine how many run outs we`d get with him fielding in the gulley.

Wouldnt fancy being the wicket keeper though, He'd be going for the head rather than the stumps
To be fair I bet he couldnt get that shot again if he tried.

I despair. Go on then; explain to me why taking part in a war, legal or otherwise, has any relevance to searching people for coins.

That's what happened at Italy v England in 1997 - we had to dump our belts and money and anything else throwable into a big plastic bag outside the ground, proceeds presumably distributed among the carabinieri after the game. (Then we went inside and had coins thrown at us for four or five hours.)

Well I have to admit that when I first saw it from the way the Ref fell that he was doing a good iterpretation of Paul Alcock the ref who I think was infamously pushed by Paolo Di Canio a few years back.

I was talking about Bush and his lack of ability to make a coherent sentence that makes sense.

That surely is a contender for one of the posts of the year.
Thanks Tommi you made me smile a lot (if you meant it you are not as daft as some of us think you are - if you didn't mean it then we were correct!)
