The official thread to log all your celebrity sightings in a bid to challenge for the Greg Stone Schmoozer Trophy. I'll start us off and will rate each sighting out of ten based on criteria I will make up as I go along. Retrospective sightings can only be claimed if they happened in the last two weeks.
I spied James Dean Bradfield (of the Maniac Street Cleaners) earlier today by the steps of Birmingham's Bullring Shopping Centre. I asked for a rendition of my favourite tune of his, Tsunami but got waved away....
Score: 6 Gs

About two weeks ago I had Aled Jones sat next to me in my taxi.
Then just this Saturday I had Nick Knowles (DIY SOS) in my taxi aswell.
How is that for starters.

Racing away there Simmo, top Gstering!
* Aled Jones - It's not everyone who can say they've had Aled in the back of their Taxi! 6.5 out of ten, you'd have scored extra points for regailing us with Snowman or Songs of Praise gags you'd told during the journey. Good effort though.
* Nick Knowles - Impressive to catch the ubiquitous Mr Knowles whilst not filming some late morning/early evening tat for the BBC. Extra points would have been gained if you'd mentioned MDF during the trip but a solid 6 out of ten.
Total score 12.5 Gs
Edit: Increased to 13.5 as Mr knowles was pissed and lost his keys.....

Forgot to mention that I got a phone call the next cause said leader of DIY programme left his keys in the taxi cause he was smahsed out of his head the night before, so had to pay me another taxi fare to take them back to him. Who says the money is dead in the BBC.

Oooh the best "Celeb" so far. Again a failure to win extra points by not:
* Running behind him in slow motion in speedos
* Talking to your watch a la Michael Knight or impersonating "the voice" of his car
*Pretending he was outside a Hotel with Charlotte Church, swapping numbers and thanking her for a top night.
Overall a good 7 Gs for that one.
Gster wrote: |

Did she say: Thanks, Greg?
Lost points because:
*It wasn't the door to the Ladies Toilet
* You didn't ask her if she made it to BC when she studied in York
* She didn't try and headhunt you
A disappointing 5 Gs for you there.

Good Gstering.
Lost points for:
* Not calling him Steve Cram
* Not saying: Going down? As you got into the lift.
6.5 Gs for that one though Thomas.

Whilst ambling towards the practice ground at Holylake on friday, a 4 WD drive Lexus very nearly ran me over at the predestrian crossing; 30 yds further on Tiger and his hefty entourage stepped out of the car. |

Ah, the Japanese Mercedes! Precision engineering for a precision golfer.
6.75 Gs for that one, 7 if you yourself were wearing a Pringle jumper in the heat.

John Prescott couple of Saturday ago getting out of a lift at the Princess Quay Shopping Centre in Hull. He was by himself and even held the lift for us. I didn't mention cowboy outfits to him because Brokeback Mountain aint my thing.
