 |
|
York Minstermen are hoping to organise a coach to Tamworth on October 21st.
Ive not had a firm quote from the coach firm yet, but my guess is that wed be charging as follows:
20 travelling - £18
25 travelling - £14
30 travelling - £12
These are members prices non members would pay a little more.
Would anyone wanting to book a place, please pm me by next Friday, 13 October.
Please dont book a seat if youre not going to travel, as it leaves us and other supporters in the lurch, paying more than we expected.
This isnt a pop at those who let us know in advance they couldnt go to Northwich (you know who you are: thank you!), but at those who didnt bother letting us know (you also know who you are ) |

Don't want to commit myself until I get a definite price from the coach company, but probably be asking non-members for somewhere between £2 & £5 more than members.
Non-members paid £2 extra going to Northwich.

I've just checked the prices for rail travel and it looks about £37 for those of us who are not students.

There are ways to get it a LOT cheaper than that though, but yes if you just turn up on the day it can be rather expensive.
Over 60s, Students and Under 26s can all get railcards. But really it should be open to everyone. Otherwise, the only way to get discounts is to book well in advance and/or travel in a group for a group discount.
The cheapest tickets to Tamworth, without booking in advance and without any discount is £27.60, if that's any good?

I'm not persuading anyone to do anything! I was just replying to the price quoted by Abel19.

The quote from the coach company is a little bit lower than I estimated, so the prices quoted above will fall by £1 to meet the stiff price competition from Virgin X-Country
20 travelling - £17
25 travelling - £13
30 travelling - £11
provisional departure time is 9:30, but as ever, we're happy to listen to people's comments and suggestions on this issue.
pm me to book your place - we could do with knowing by this weekend, to give people a chance of making other arrangements if we find the trip's not viable.
cheers

Time's running short, and so far only a handful of people have booked places on the Tamworth coach.
Tomorrow is the deadline for bookings so that if the trip doesn't run, people have a reasonable chance to make other arrangements, so pm me asap if you want to go.

We've had to cancel this coach due to insufficient bookings. |
