Seemed a big improvement by the Scots, I know the Faroe Islands are weak but Scotland are sh*t against little countries (e.g. 2-2 draw with the Faroes 2 or 3 years back). England also did well by actually scoring more than 2 against a minnow and not struggling through it. Could this be the start of Something good? Fingers crossed.
I shall make no comment on NI though except, oh dear.

I went to Glasgow for this game today. And it was played at Parkhead not Hampden because of a Robbie Williams concert. And this was a little song some Scotland fans made up. Hes fat,hes round, hes on Scotlands football ground, Robbie Williams,Robbie Williams.

That song doesn't even fit, there are an incorrect number of syllables FFS.

We got 50,059 today to be exact not exactly bad for a game against the Faroe Islands.

I'm not surprised, they are about your level after all. Its almost a derby.
Though I'm confused. User name "Kewell10" (obvious Leeds Utd link), avatar is a City Crest; yet claims to be from a third world nation (Scotland).

Oh dear, a syllable out, what will this world ever do? Seems quite witty to me, a lot wittier and inventive than most England songs kicking around. And on the point of beating an easy side, well I heard 606 and all England fans seemed to be singing about a great victory. Wake up! Scotland played an equivalent to Andorra today and scored more goals, the shame.

Okay, so this week Scotland beat a team 6-0 who a few years ago they drew 2-2 with.
A few years ago England drew 2-2 in Macedonia. Let them celebrate. It isn't often they win, let alone 6-0. And after all, they are avenging the humiliation of such an appauling result a few years ago under a terrible manager.
All that said, I'd happily take a 6-0 win in Skopje on Wednesday is anyone is offering..... |

I was at today's game and let it be known that Crouch IS an international striker. Also, while Lennon is from Leeds, he is a fantastis, skilfull player and I hope to see him in an England shirt for many years.
However, why we were playing such an awful team as Andorra, I don't know.

Its called giving all countries an even chance of entering a competition, for once. Or would you prefer the sham pre-qualifying disgrace that is the Champions League?
Afterall its still only qualification FFS, if the likes of Andorra and San Marino can't get a game in this, then what is the point in them having a federation? Also - how else will they improve? How will their players or fans experience anything other than playing to two men and a sheep?
Nah - give them their moment in the sun - its only fair. The bigger nations meanwhile get their chance to experiment and have a bit of shooting practice too! Heck even Defoe looked good!

Having a number of friends from the large Macedonian community locally, I can assure you the only thing you are likely to find in Skopje is an enduring culture of honour and blood feuds.
Laid down in the fifteenth century in an attempt to limit bloodshed, the Albanian Kanun of Lek Dukagjini prescribes elaborate rules of engagement and revenge - and it's still very much alive and should be learned before travelling!
Have fun...
Maybe a draw would be advisable?

I'm just happy we've finally turned the corner after a number of years when our stock in Football terms fell to an all-time low.
Berti Vogts was an unmitigated disaster and set us back a good number of years. Walter came in as a "safe pair of hands" to steady the ship and get us back to respectability and he's more than done that so far. A masterstroke was bringing Ally McCoist onto the coaching staff and, partly down to Coisty's infectious personality, the mood in the camp these days is extremely good - In Berti's day it was obvious players weren't enjoying being part of the International Squad and there was always major dissention and in-fighting going on.
Scotland SHOULD be qualifying for the major Tournaments and, although it won't be this time, given the fact we got landed with Italy, France and The Ukraine, we will continue to progress and maybe give the big guns in our group the odd bloody nose. A decent draw in the Qualifiers for the next World Cup and I can see us having a decent shot at getting to South Africa.
We've got a core of good young players like Fletcher, McFadden, O'Connor, Ferguson and Gordon (and more on the way) and finally a natural goalscorer in Kris Boyd, who's proved over the past couple of seasons that he's capable of scoring goals in any company.
Things are finally on the up and us long-suffering Scotland supporters can now see some light at the end of the tunnel ...

Well done to both Scotland and England yesterday. Admittedly both beating poor sides. It was a case of after the Lord Mayors Show for World Champions Italy who were held 1-1 at home by Lithuania. So that is already a bonus for Scotland provided they go over to Lithuania and win.
Thought the BBC commentators were a bit harsh on Andorra for a nation of 20 odd thousand what do they expect them to be like ? Still as someone else said these Nations have the right to play International Football. In fairness you can't really see small nations like Andorra, San Marino because of the amount of residents they have ever developing much football wise but it dosen't mean they don't have the right to play international football and maybe improve a bit.
Interestingly Andorra did beat Macedonia two years ago in a WC Qualifier and Liechenstein have picked up a few results along the years. San Marino are still the worst of the worst.

Yes - Seaman got lobbed from a corner at St Mary's and Rooney came off the bench and scored in Macedonia.
Scotland's 2-2 draw was away at the Faroe Islands, then they won 6-0 at home last week.
Therefore, England's 2-2 draw was at home, so they will win 6-0 away in Macedonia on Wednesday.
Such being my logic

At the risk of this being a "whoooosh" situation - England are AWAY on Wednesday.
