Anyone off here going tomorrow night or Saturday?

I'm hoping the weather keeps of and it's a good dry day. I don't see why so many people complained about the last one as it's good for the City, businesses and tourism. From my point of view, we have about 16 days racing to 'endure' and the other 348/349 to go about out city as we please!

Going to both. Passed an inspection today, and the rain isn't supposed to be too bad tomorrow so Thursday night should be fine, but as ever will just have to wait and see. More chance of going through the card than predicting the weather at the moment!

Les Fazzini in the 8.30 on Thursday might be worth watching in the betting. Paul Hanagan is Richard Faheys stable jockey, so always worth keeping an eye on any race where Fahey fields a runner, yet Hanagan rides for another trainer.

Prospect Court in the 7:00pm, providing it handles the weight, should win at a fairly short price. Well it's my 'banker' for the night so i'm screwed if it doesn't!

Someone had better hurry up and enter it for it then!

It does look to have a decent chance in the Sky Bet conditions race though. Wink

My first trip to York Races, really enjoying the atmosphere and had a winner/each way on 4 of the first 5 races. I'm a few quid up and my mum's a tenner down.

Final race.

Who do we back?
Me: Er, well, this bloke on, er, a football forum, said, er, sorta go for Les Fazzini. Lets put everything on.

Halfway through and my mum is cursing for making her backing the back runner.

The greatest comeback since Lazarus and we're very, very happy thanks to that bloke on a football forum. Thankyou, good sir. I'm pissed at the moment and this teenager plans to stay that way for the next week on the back of the winnings. My mum's going to get herself a new handbag. As if it were a sign for above, Trigger walked past me at the exact moment the race finished, smiled, shook my hand and walked on by. I have absolutely no idea how he knew I was a York City fan.

I think I owe you a drink at the very least.

I got 2 winners and a place which is a major success for me - I'm a crap tipster.

Missed out on Les Fazzini - at least that means I don't have to buy CTID a pint now.
