What the heck is going on at Nestle? I just consumed vast amounts of the little pill like sweeties expecting a sugar rush combined with a blitz of e numbers. What do I get? Beetroot Juice, Vegetable Carbon and Copper complexes! How the hell am I expected to get through a night shift without enough artificial colouring to keep a primary school bouncing for a month? I need an investigation into the theft of all things bad that used to be Smarties.

Where's Yabba when you need him? Tucked up in his feather duvet, I bet.

Did you know that the red smarties are coloured using Cochineal (sp?). This "natural" colouring is actually made from - wait for it - the juices of the cochineal beetle! Shocked

It must be true - they said it on QI! Cool

The worst thing about these fat free, sugar free, salt free, fun free products is the buggers charge more for less.

I mean if it doesn't have sugar, fat and salt in it, it should cost less... Evil or Very Mad

I was shocked and appalled when I had my first packet of Smarties for a while last week and it was all change. As if it wasn't bad enough that they got rid of the tubes with the cool lids, they resort to taking the pretty colours out as well. They don't taste as good either. Damn it, I want my artificial colouring back!
