There's still some cheap-ish tickets for Gravesend on 19th Aug - but they've just gone up to £20.50 each way - get 'em booked soon.

For anyone who hasn't been to Northfleet before, it's a complete sh*t hole. The ground is a dump, the away end is adequate at best, and the place itself is a run down Southern tip.

So all in all, a good day out in the Conference Wink

God forbid I should defend anywhere in the Conference but........if you just go to the Cooper Arms, which is a decent friendly pub near the train station, you don't actually have to see anything of Northfleet other than one street, the ground is a dump but the away terrace is a decent size and at least you can see properly (unlike OUR away end!).

Yeah, that's a half decent pub... the first season in the Conference, though, I made the mistake of wandering a bit further afield. Last season we just stuck to that pub for the 2 hours or so before kick off.

Which is the quickest way to Gravesend from Leicester Square? I presume its the Northern Line southbound for 1 stop to Charing Cross then the overground train straight out to Gravesend. ?

If I do go, what time is the train everyone getting on at York?

Hi,

Thanks for that Tom (and SMP). I'll see what I can do!!!

As I haven't booked anything yet, money wise, its gonna be a bummer!

Sooo, I'm seriously looking at the drastic option as thus:
National Express bus: Boro (00:15) to London (06:20)...and back:
London (23:30 Shocked Shocked ) to Boro (05:30).
Then get a bus home, Sunday morrning.

Might be worth a try!

...And how would I know you?? Wink
Anyway, no worries lads, I plan to get the National Express from Boro bus station to Dartford, via London Vic. (Apparently Dartford is near Northfleet!), So I'll see ya down there!
(I'll be wearing my Jorvik Red's scarf and I'll have my blue Yorkshire flag on me, should you want to say hello...or avoid me at all costs!) Laughing
