I wouldnt mind going, but a tenner for a ticket seems a bit much for me for a new-ish band, even if Rick is well known.

Well, you're the one paying for the ticket if I bought one, technically...

I stand corrected: May 14th Birmingham Barfly Cool

On another note there's an interview on his web site where Rick states he was a guest at Clint Boon's wedding (Peter Hook was best man) and was asked to sing 'Chasing Rainbows' at the alter during the ceremony Shocked Confused Not an ideal choice I would have thought. Note to Ingster: I can pull a few strings and ask him to perform "This Day Was Ours' for you if you want!

Unfortunatly have got us lads sorted for the cockpit gig in leeds on the friday, with Hereford the day after it has the makings of a mediocre weekend with not a lot of drinking. Wink

That's a nice track and a nice shot of Brimham Rocks if I'm not mistaken. I do have a problem with the band name though......

I think after the band get their music heard around various circles it will be shortened to The Dukes.

Heard a rumour that they may be playing the Leeds Festival, anyone else know anything about this?

Yep, my guess is that Rick's name is needed in order to sell it and keep up their profile. Rick describes it as a solo project when as much as I like him, he admits himself that he needs a good guitarist to help get things down musically. Rick's Shed Seven past is propelling the band forward, on it's own I can't see an amalgam of Colour of Fire, The Seahorses, Yards etc exciting record companies or radio stations. I hope they can do well though, I like what I've heard but I get the feeling from interviews etc that we will see another Sheds Tour in the next few years...

A gig got cancelled last week by the Promoter. Can only guess that ticket sales were poor, it was sunny Warrington of all places too. I predict a swift and sad end to the Dukes if there Autumn single is not well received. Shame, as I like their stuff as much as anything that is out at the minute...
