York Minstermen will be running a bus to Cambridge, provided 20 or more people travel.

Departure time will be 1:pm and the cost will be between £14 and £25 depending on numbers travelling.

Non-members' prices will be £5 more.

Anyone who's going on our trip to Sunderland Greyhounds the following day will get £5 off the Cambridge fare.

pm me to book your seat, or email

When booking, please give the names of everyone you're booking for, as this will help us ensure people aren't booked on twice.

I checked a few weeks ago, and there were no trains late enough to get back to York after the game.

Frank, I will be home in York for this time and may consider getting the coach with you good people. What time do you estimate the coach will be back in York for, early Saturday morning?

If the game finishes about 9.40pm, I reckon coaches would be back at about midnight.

Must be about 2 and a half hours to Cambridge, maybe 3.

The Mysterymen coach arrived back at 1am last time we played Cambridge away,it's 3 hrs back without a stop so we expect the same on this season's visit, unless we have a quicker bus. Wink

If it only take 3 hours to Cambridge (4 hours max), then why is the coach leaving at 1pm?! Is it a 7.45 kick off? Rolling Eyes

The York Minstermen coach is leaving at 1pm to allow people to make a day of it an enjoy a drink or two en route.

Yes, it's a 7:45 kick off.

Anyone wanting to come on the YMM coach to Cambridge on Good Friday needs to make a firm booking as soon as possible.

The deadline is after the Kidderminster game next Sunday. If there aren't enough firm bookings we'll not be able to run the coach, and we need to confirm or cancel the coach booking on Monday morning.

pm me or email to book your seat.

We're still five or six people short of being able to say the trip is definitely on.

Hopefully last night's result will spur a few more to decide to go to Cambridge.

If that's you, please let me know as soon as possible. Next Sunday night (after the Kidderminster game) is the final deadline, and if the numbers are short, we'll have to call it off.

At the moment it's £25 for members (£30 non-members), but this will fall as more people book. If everyone who's booked so far actually turns up, the price will fall to around £22 (£27 non-members).

This will fall further if more people travel with us, and there's a further £5 discount for anyone going on our dogs trip to Sunderland the following night.

Idea So, non members should become members at a cost of £5 and have all the benefits of membership until the end of the 2006/7 season (including discount on the End of Season & Christmas Party tickets). The cost of membership will be recouped on this trip.

I take it this will fall though as more people book on? I just need to check a few things but I should be coming, I'll PM you tomorrow to finalise.

Yes, the price will fall as more people book.

There are currently 38 people booked; IF they all turn up (a rarity, as rafferz can testify), the price will be £15 (non-members £20).

If fewer than thirty show up it will revert to £20 (£25)

If forty or more travel, it will cost you £10 (£15), so you'll be able to afford a bag of chips on the way home.

Does that mean if everyone that had booked comes it will only cost me £10 because I'm going to the dogs and I'm a member.
