A man is due to face trial after being charged with unacceptable behaviour after he allegedly put his feet up on a bench at Cambridge railway station.
Rudolph Mills, 39, denies breaching railway by-laws by soiling property and inconveniencing passengers.
He was arrested on 1 February and charged following an inquiry by British Transport Police.
Mr Mills, of Islington, London, is due to be tried by Cambridge magistrates on 17 May.
The case went to court on 3 March but was adjourned because clarification was being sought from the British Transport Police on various facts. |

I love this country sometimes.

Saw one the other day where a 15 year old was given an ASBO and threatened with a five yr sentence if he was caught giving the V sign again....

I think you really need to know the context of the alleged behaviour before making any judgement based on a newspaper/BBC story. The feet on the bench may have been a part of generally c**tish behaviour for which he was deservedly hauled in, for instance. |

Or more likely it's just an example of police finding themselves an easy target while paedophiles roam free and teach in schools.
BTW, Didn't Gary Glitter get 4 months or summat when he was FIRST convicted or is this just me? And I hate chavs as much as the next 'normal' Cliftoner, but five years for a V sign? f***s me right off this country.

There was probably more to it than that, although of course the media are only going to say what they want to...

No, it's not more likely at all, is it. Crawl back to your tabloids and lap up some more sensationalised s***e.
No offence.

Which is fine of course as well as they teach well. Well, no point raising educational expectations, teach averagely I suppose.

Some Newspapers wrote: |
'Gay' police horse case dropped
A student who called a mounted policeman's horse "gay" will not be prosecuted, it has been revealed.
But police have stood by their decision to take Sam Brown to court for making "homophobic comments" despite the Crown Prosecution Service dropping the case.
Mr Brown, 21, a student at Oxford University, had said to an officer: "Excuse me, do you realise your horse is gay?"
Police took the case to court after Mr Brown refused to pay a £80 fine.
Mr Brown, who made the comment during a night out with friends in Oxford after his final exams, was arrested under section 5 of the Public Order Act for making homophobic remarks.
Evidence lacking
His remarks were deemed likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
The English Literature graduate, from Belfast, spent the night of 30 May last year in a police cell.
It emerged at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Thursday that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) had chosen to discontinue the case.
Prosecutor Cariad Eveson-Webb said there was not enough evidence to prove Mr Brown had been disorderly.
Thames Valley Police defended their decision to take the case to court.
A spokesman said: "We present the case to the CPS and the CPS make the decision to proceed or not.
"He made homophobic comments that were deemed offensive to people passing by." |

A normal Cliftoner is still a Grade B chav.
I, on the other hand, am an overly normal 'guest' Cliftoner

That is, to put it lightly, not the funniest put-down among the miriads of posts herewith. Congratulations on being able to "type" though. You are welcome to edit your post for something a little more wittisome. But change your tracksuit first, if you have two.

Ohhhh, a near slip there from the Russian but he recovers just in time.
I like how we're all falling out in GC tonight for no apparent reason. Bobby, would you agree Run is the best track off Technique?

Yawn.
How many chavs do you know whose favourite bands are:
...and you will know us by the trail of dead
Belle and Sebastian
The Smiths
I'm not arguing over whether I'm a chav or not. It seems very stereotypical to say that just cos I live in Clifton. Remember, there are a couple exceptions
Such a petty war.
Innit.
