Rocky 6, Rocky Baloboa, is definitely on the way.
Principal photography has been done and the film is due for release next year:

Tragically, the rumours of an Ivan Drago rematch appear to have been false.

In fact, there's even a teaser trailer:

What we need is speed, greasy fast speed I tells ya! You're gonna eat lightnin' and you're gonna crap thunder!
Looking forward to the film, Stallone is a very underated guy, very intelligent. I'll forgive him for his massacre of 'Get Carter'...he's also in great shape too. He achieved a lot with Rocky and I think this is overlooked. It's sad he's just regarded as the star of those films. There is actually some quite witty lines in the films:
Adrian: Why do you wanna fight?
Rocky: Because I can't sing or dance
Adrian: Einstein flunked out of school, twice.
Paulie: Is that so?
Adrian: Yeah. Beethoven was deaf. Helen Keller was blind. I think Rocky's got a good chance
The theme tune is also very stirring

I was very impressed by the shape the guy is in for 60ish. He looks no older than 40s in the stills.
As to whether the film will be any good or not, I'm not optimistic. If he can by some miracle re-capture everything that made the first film so good, then I'll be delighted.

"Rocky" won Best Picture in 1976, the same year "Taxi Driver" was released.
Rocky
Taxi Driver
If anybody reading this doesn't understand the significance of that fact then there might be a place for you on next years judging panal
But anyway, it wasn't overlooked, infact quite the opposite, as they say: "There's no accounting for taste"

Getting the wrong end of the stick with one of my posts, not for the first time I meant that Stallone gets overlooked personally, people (the general public) merely see him as an "action hero" and a two dimensional character. He might not be up with the De Niros and Pacinos in terms of acting but to write and produce Rocky was a great achievement. Also FWIW, I think Taxi Driver is a better film.
