Play off chasing Stevenage took 41 souls to Hereford tonight. 41.
What's worse is that the whole country could see how pathetic the conference is.*

First non-City fan to point out that we are in this League because we are crap wins a special prize.

To be honest, I would suggest a few more turned up but had the good sense not to announce themselves as the travelling away support.

And BTW, if you're talking about the match in 1985, you obviously failed to notice the 300 City who infiltrated the Ilderton Road end. I can exclusively reveal that it was this loss of face that led to the Luton riot 4 days later.

1,660 to Hull 2 years ago?
To a team that aren't our "rivals" as well - amazing that.
And Huddersfield bought 250+ more than Hull to us the next season (3,375 I think - although I may not be right). Bring back the league and some proper away attendances from local teams.

Hull NOT rivals? When we frequented the same league as them we most certainly were! Some cracking derby matches over the years.....

Was a very subtle mocking at so-called rivals - like Scarborough.

Millwall in the 1980s!! Thats like saying not many people go to Beruit on holiday these days! Plus, I bet there were another hundred or so City fans hiding without scarfs etc in the main stand!

Seem to remember taking a good few to Cardiff one boxing day (?) first and last time I'm going there when they were fighting amongst themselves during the game 3-0 down at half time and we were level 9 mins into the second half (I was glad to get back to the car )

I was there with my daddy... That was one of my first away games. I do remember there being a fair few York there considering the distance!

1,212 officially according to programmes from that year. Our biggest recent away following was Leicester in the FA cup (3,000+), unless of course you count the Old Traffors game as 'recent'. We had around 5,000 City fans there that night.

I remember that on/off/on Millwall game from '85. Weren't they knocked out of the cup on the Wednesday night, with the FL then ordering us to play our League game that Saturday (decision made late Thursday). Had Millwall won their delayed cup replay they would have been playing in the quarter finals on the Saturday. I remember turning up for the original social club darts team on the Thursday night to find out City were playing at Millwall on the Saturday. It had been decided too late to be in that nights press. Basically, anyone who went to away games had 24 hours to make plans. That game was the first I missed, home or away (including friendlies) for four years. I conveniently had other plans (went to Hearts/Aberdeen in the Scottish cup QF). |

Anyway Liverpool's second highest of the season - 49,000 odd.
Pity they didn't bother for the second time, they may have seen a game.

Don't really want to start a different thread cos it might mislead people, but i've heard a rumour that the Halifax game is getting moved to the tuesday evening after easter monday. It was on their messageboard. Does anyone know if there is any truth in this?
